Main Rig

Preamble

Not much to say about this - originally I didn’t want to include my main rig in this lineup but then thought it might be fun to read about it myself some time later, if it ever changes. Or not.

Hardware

First generation of AMD solutions with DDR5 support so I was somewhat gambling on stability there, but more than two years later it runs just fine. The GPU is a relatively recent addition to play Valheim on Steam (that I didn’t do anyway, Steamdeck felt better).

I used to have 27" 4K display because HiDPI made fonts crispy clear and beautiful, but lately degraded to hi-refreshrate fullhd to use bitmap fonts and whatnot. I’m not sure I care that much anymore.

I also use tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches and a trackball.

Software

At the moment of writing - Fedora 42 with Cinnamon DE. I used Debian Bookworm with dwm/dwmstatus for couple of years but don’t remember why went back on “regular” WM, might be gaming that I didn’t do after all :)
